Bruce & Glennis – 2002 Harley Road King Classic
Bruce is the fearless leader of the Peace Portal Riders and started the group back in 2008. He has been riding for 13 years now and has owned a variety of bikes from Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Honda. A past favorite bike of his was a 1996 Yamaha Virago 1100 but his current ride tops his list! He enjoys riding all roads on his bike, but his favorite stretch would have to be a yearly 3 day ride he does down through Coulee Dam to Yakima Wa. and back. He enjoys the fellowship with other riders, and just experiencing the great Country we live in from the saddle of his ride!
Jim & Brenda – Yamaha FJR 1300 Sport Touring
Jim and his lovely wife Brenda serve on the leadership team for the Peace Portal Riders. Jim’s favorite bike is the one he rides now, but past favorites were a 1972 OSSA Explorer (off road) and an 1982 HD FXWG. Jim’s been riding a couple of decades now and his favorite roads are all the secondary highways leading to Winthrop Wa. The thing he likes best is meeting other motorcyclists on the road and….of course….photographing anything bike and trip related.
Eric – Yamaha FZ1
Eric is our computer guru and is the one who helped put together this awesome web site. He has been riding for about 10 years now and has ridden a variety of Yamaha products. His favorite ride is his current Yamaha FZ1. Eric has many favorite roads, but he feels the “Mount St. Helens Forestry Road #25″ is by far the best he has been on.
On any decent road trip there is a journey and a destination; the way God intended our lives to be.
Grayden – 2003 HD CVO Road King
Grayden has been riding bikes since the young age of 14. He has had many sport bikes, but admits his current bike is his favorite. There are many roads he enjoys riding…local would be highway 20 the North Cascades. Further away would be the 199 from Grants pass OR to Crescent City CA. Weekenders are the thing that I enjoy most about riding. Getting away for just a couple of nights and riding some of the incredible roads we have locally! Grayden is also on the PPRiders leadership team.
Doug & Michelle – 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 LT
Doug rode dirt bikes as a kid and got his class 6 in 2008 so this will be his fourth riding season in 2011. He has only owned one bike…his current ride, and he loves it. His favorite roads on the mainland are, Hwy 5A via Nicola Lake between Kamloops and Merritt and on the Island, Hwy 28 from Campbell River to Gold River. Michelle and Doug love weekend getaways on 2 wheels as well. Together we always do at least three road trips each season. Victoria, Quilchena, Osoyoos and Lund are but a few. We’ve got better at traveling on the bike with each season. We love the variety of destinations that we choose. Doug and Michelle are both on the leadership team of PPRiders.
Mark & Ivy – 2006 Yamaha V-Star Silverado
This is the only bike owned so it is our favorite. They have been riding for 5 years . Mark’s favorite stretch of road….Banff to Jasper parkway. Ivy and my favorite road…Fraser canyon to Ashcroft to Merritt to Hope and home. We love the freedom, sense of adventure and general camaraderie in the biking community.
Dave & Stephanie- Yamaha Roadliner & Yamaha V-Star
Dave and Stephanie have been riding for 4 years now. Dave rides the Yamaha Roadliner with Stephanie riding the Yamaha V-Star 1100. Both admit their favorite bikes are the ones they currently own. Their favorite stretch of road to ride is the Highway between Merritt to Princeton.
Jeff – 1989 Honda Pacific Coast
Jeff is our unofficial bike reviewer as we think he has owned just about every bike out there. It’s always a surprise as to what he will be showing up with on any given ride!
